How far in advance should we book our celebrant?

There is no rule about this, but at peak times - May and September - I book up fast. If you want dates in these months, organise it 6-12 months prior. Legal documentation must be filled in 30 days or more beforehand - something to keep in mind.

How do I know which celebrant to book?

It is really important to make sure you are really comfortable with your celebrant. I like to have a no-obligation chat with couples before booking. We can go for a coffee. That way we can get to know each other, we can talk through the process, you can ask lots of questions, and you can decide if I am the one for you!

What legal documents do I need?

When we fill in the first of the legal paperwork, I will need to see your proof of birth and some photo ID. This can be your original Birth Certificate and Driver's Licence, or your Passport. I will also need to see any evidence of any previous  marriage ending. This is either proof of divorce or death.

How long does the ceremony go for?

That is completely up to you. A 'short and sweet' ceremony will go for around 20 mins. But if you would like some extras - readings, poems, rituals, etc - it will take longer. We can discuss all of this when we plan your ceremony.
